Was graciously given these carbon wheels and I’m trying to figure out the best way to ride them on a budget.
Currently riding a 2020 Roscoe 7 with sx eagle drivetrain
I did see on my local CL a 12sp Shimano drivetrain for $150 but I would still have to get a front chain ring and sram cassette barely has any miles but finding a compatible freehub and qr endcap has proven to be a little difficult as all the products I find have slightly different sizes.
Thoughts?

Freehubs are particular to the model of hub you have. You can’t just pick one from online and hope it fits.
In your case for your Formula DC-2241 rear hub, you’d have to get one that is compatible with that exact hub. Formula will **typically** do replacement freehubs. But may not offer a different type of freehub i.e. they may not offer a MicroSpline or XD freehub.
You can still go 12-speed with your existing freehub. You’d just need to get either the SRAM NX 12sp cassette or a 12sp cassette from SunRace that is HG compatible.
Downsides of this is that you miss out on the super crisp shifting that comes with Shimano 12sp HG+ since the chain + cassette were designed to work really well together – which if you wanted the full benefit of HyperGlide+ then you’d need a MicroSpline freehub so you can fit the matching Shimano 12sp cassette.
In the ad it seems like the wheels have an HG freehub body on them already. The SX cassette you are using should just slap right on there. Only if you upgrade to a higher end cassette will you need to get a XD freehub.
As far as the endcaps, are you using a quick release or through axle? You will need to figure that out. I haven’t seen much boost bikes using QR.
