I took out my newly finished PX10 for a 20 mi spin the other night. It rides amazingly, but I was really missing clipless pedals. I went to throw on a set of pedals that I had in my parts box but noticed that the threading is different than the standard 9/16 threading. It turns out that this bike has 14 mm x 1.25 threading that can be found on old French bikes like this. So my options are use a helicoil, or tap the crank arms to the 9/16 thread pattern. Is there a benefit to one over the other? I want to make sure I don’t do something that’s going to ruin this beautiful crank set… Thank you all for the help on the last post!

Tapping is the solution. Helicoil is usually used as a repair for damaged 9/16” threads.

  2. Petals are special leaves that are usually brightly colored and around the reproductive bits of a flower. They attract pollinators which in tern spread the pollen and bring the flower to sexual satisfaction.

Why not clips n straps to stick with the retro look.
    Sharp ride, nice resto.

  4. Rats! Beat me to it by a week! I just ordered those levers for a Viscount restomod and look forward to putting it together next week. Nice work on your bike!
