Bought a mountain bike to wrench on that has thru-axles but with a QR on the end of them (never seen these)
It was very rusty on the inside and the axle was barely rotating. When i got to remove it as it was disintegrating (3rd pic), a cylinder remained inside and the wheel is not getting looser.
The cup where the QR lever and rubber were remained in as well, and is not rotating (last pic). When trying to rotate it with a wrench it slipped and then chipped the outside.
Any tips? Thanks!
Is the edge on the first picture for the axle as well or is it part of the fork? It’s a Bulls Lytro fork on a Copperhead.

If all that you’ve got left is that tube and it’s just stuck in there, you’re either dealing with corrosion or you mangled it so bad it won’t come out cleanly. You’re going to have to use a punch to hammer it out from the brake rotor side, or take it to a local bike or mechanic shop and ask for assistance. A drift of the same diameter, preferably of something soft like nylon, to drive the axle out of the fork would be something to try.
