had to take dog to vets at 3.15 at pets at home went past council van and the police car parked on the side near the entrance to Ravenside park then i was in the water managed to get along the dual carriage way to the west bars roundabout got stuck on that managed to get unstuck and went up Foljambe rd allin a Renault Kangoo car thinking it was a Range Rover one of the 3 most scary situations i got myself into was glad to get home
I live in chesterfield very close to these flooded roads, it makes me laugh how I had to drive most of the way to clay Cross just to get home from work, to just over the train lines. its impossible due to every bridge under the train lines being flooded, pedestrians had no choice but to wade waist deep in foul dirty water why is there not at least a foot bridge over the tracks for such times near to town. Sorry rant over. My best wishes go out to all those now cleaning up after losing all there possessions. And my condolences to the people who lost there lives in this tragic time.
If the local government actually did its job the system would be clear & the flooding would be minimal. But investing in infrastructure is not as important as virtue signalling
This what happens when ya dont help chester the cat and dont eat chester cheese and help the poor and need when ya have underground banks retirement money ppi pip esa universal credit after work and dont help those who dont get all this who only gets pip and esa

0:40 I just managed to do a U turn as soon as I saw that poor car up ahead! I got off lightly, but feel very sheepish for entering the water at all!
