Just to be sure, this is shot right? Sigh. It was just so tight coming off the rim with levers, the bead just popped (I only noticed the damage later). I guess it’s a good excuse to get tanwalls.

Yes. With those new tan walls always push the bead to the very center of the rim wheel channel around the entire wheel before even considering a tire lever. I’d also check your rim and rim tape, you were aggressive 🙀
