I hesitated posting this. Even taking the photo. But go and try it before you condemn me.
I just popped into the local dealer for a very minor repair (which he kindly fixed on the spot with no charge) and he said “feel this”.
I ride a p-line (electric) which is light enough to carry up steps easily enough but I politely lifted up the folded titanium and my jaw dropped. It’s not just light, it’s super impressively light.
I’m told they’re only just making them more generally available in the dealer shops so if you don’t have a Brompton you really want to take this for a test ride. Or just pick it. Say with your shopping in the other hand. It’s damned light!
Now I just want a fully heated force field so I don’t need a heavy jacket…

Meh, I’ll stick to a steel frame. I’ve had carbon and ti bikes and, unless you’re competing or really need the lower weight for physical reasons, the steel will ride better and age better and has a significantly lower chance of having a structural compromise
It’s nice and all that but 4950 euro gets me and my wife two decent steel Brompton bikes.Guess I’ll pass.
I would love it for trips via plane or train
