You'll buy it 😉
I love my 2016 Versys 1000 but I think about another bike on a daily basis, ha.
From I’m seeing so far-there are numerous number of cost reductions to compensate the engine improvements and introduction of radar systems
To name the few that have been removed/replaced:
– Steel Tubular subframe to cast aluminium sub frame
– plastic rear / passenger trom Stainless steel handle frame
– The glorious assymetrical adaptive headlights
– rear lights
– reliable manually adjustabel seat
– Central Power button
– manual Adjustable wind screen ( not just low and high).
– Beautiful well formed wind screen
I’m glad that I bought the R1250 GS Trophy MY2023.
I wonder is it the new Triumph Scrambler that's coming 🤔 I am 100% in agreement on the 1300GS I think it's lost all its GS ness and looks as bland as the Honda NC750 now with the exception of that hideous headlight. I have seen a few rider reviews of it now and the general consensus seems to be that it is now smaller, sportier and harder which are exactly the things I don't want in my GS. I love that my 1200GS is an easy bike to ride it is comfortable and is big enough for two up touring for an older couple who could do with losing a few pounds. I can see it is aimed at pulling people from the multistrada and KTM SA but I think they will lose some of their traditional buyers.
I love my Multistrada V4s
Like all new car and bike designs the 1300 is polarising sure, but we’ll soon get used to it and the previous models will look dated. I’ll wait until the GSA comes and buy it probably.
Like my 2017 gsa except for the noise coming up from front of the bike up the forks area. 😎🏍️💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻 from bc
I’ve had my 1250gs for about four months now and I’m more than happy with it and I think it looks better than the new 1300
Moto guzzi?
I actually like the look of the new 1300. But having said that, it does seem to have lost some of the looks that GS's are famous for. Ss for your new bike, my money is on a Triumph Street Triple 👍
I ride a 1250, and agree that the 1300 has lost the GS special looks, now I’m sure technically it’s brilliant but I’m happy with my 1250 so no change for some years to come.
The one thing that is predictable but no less annoying is that the “established” reviewers will all gush over it as they need to keep the manufacturers happy to keep getting new bikes to ride and invites to events and launches. I am pleased to hear your initial views and look forward to seeing what you think once you ride one.
👍
Hi Dave, Great local trip! New bike? Every man should own an Alpha, every biker should have a Guzzi.🤔 Maybe an RT? Painting? I have some doorframes needing a coat or two over the winter. Old jokes are the best. Agree about the 1300, go for a 1250, but for me just upgrading to a TFT model is enough. Thanks for the ride out.👍🏍️☘️ Cheers Arthur.
I have the 1250 and really wanted to love and desire the new bike …..but I don't
My 1250 Rallye 2019 is all I want and need only owe 2k and then fully paid so not sure I want to
throw myself into more debt and for what ?? Good luck and happy days to those who take the leap but
chasing the next bike every few years has gotten financially nonsensical for me….
Enjoyed the video.
Just back myself from a 6 biker overnight at Aughris in Sligo. Somehow we managed to avoid the heavy rain. I love that Slieve Gullion track. Great track and views + good coffee shop.
Recommend trying Slieve Croob area. Not on the usual tourist trail. Lots of interesting things to visit…
Windy Gap, Marian Shrine, Dolmen, Suterraine, and source of the Lagan. Also worth visiting the quirky Turnip House coffee shop in the middle of nowhere (weekends only).
Quite close to Harry Ferguson Memorial Garden.
New Subscriber here, got to say what an excellent channel, and presenter.. funny, informative, entertaining just excellent thanks so much for sharing!
Top o the morning to you too! 😉😉😉👌👌👌👍👍👍👍
Entertaining channel Dave. It’ll be interesting to hear your comments on the GS1300 in about 18 months time when more of them are on the road and the 1250 starts to look old. My mate had a GS 1250 and has now got the very first GS1300 triple black sold out of Hursts in Belfast. He’s the sort of guy that can really handle a bike. In his words , it feels completely different and is a big step forward from his old bike on all fronts. When you start to see the new bike appear with engine bars and decked out with aluminium luggage not the plastic stuff, opinions might change.
Had three GSs Dave and they were all great bikes but I never liked the look, especially the 1250 GSA. Now riding a lovely V2S Multistrada I love how BMW have copied so many highlights of the Multi and for me I think BMW have made a better bike but it’s the Multi V4S for me next time, it’s the feeling you get when you open the garage door and the stunning Italian lines. Not to mention the sound of a Ducati when you open that throttle. PS. The Multi is cheaper now too🤣
Ahh, I'd not be able to cope with having a bike in the garage that I couldn't ride for months… you have good self control. Looking forward to the proper reveal Dave 🙂
Hi Dave, I’m in Ballymena. Watched all your videos and tried many of your routes. If you’re up North again give me a shout or anytime anywhere. Always happy to ride
Nice scenery up there. On my list for a spin.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the 1400M/GSA
