Iceland has been calling us for years and finally we set out to explore. From the airport down south we cycle upwards to the remote northern Westfjords. Immediately the landscape is captivating and adventurous, with fields of lava and volcanos. The fjords are big, otherworldly and we wonder what it would be like to grow up here. Maudi celebrates her birthday in the backcountry and we get a big scare when have to cycle a bit of the ring road we were desperately trying to avoid!

  1. Iceland has been calling us for years and finally we set out to explore. It totally lived up to the hype. Wild, barren, windswept and moody. A different kind of beauty than any other place we toured before. We hope you will enjoy this new series! Let us know what you think about it? Thanks & Have a great day, E&M

  2. I love your videos! But I would consider Iceland the last place I'd care to tour. I've watched several videos of people cycle touring Iceland. Just seems extremely baron. The worst part is never seeing any trees. Great job guys keep it up!

  3. I was brought up in Fort William the Highlands of my country Scotland, I have the same kind of cable for my E bike , that's a brilliant system, I found all over your country no problem at all charging my E bike for reference to others thanks for another brilliant video happy birthday maudi, and now merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you both .

  4. From Ontario Canada, they used dynamite to open up rock formations for roads. To drive in areas without huge rocks on either side of the road is strange. I live in Maine now, very simular to Ontario.

  5. I'm new to your channel (😄…..Subscribed) and you've probably answered this question 100s of times. What bikes are you both riding? Happy birthday!!🎉

  6. Very nice vlog you made and Iceland is fantastic. I had to comment because a coincidence that I spent my birthday in Iceland with my family an friend Erik but also I have my birthday the same day as my mum.
