I’ve been thinking about buying a gravel / allroad ish bike with dropbars and an internal gearhub for quite some time now. Problem is that the few options that are available (with either rohloff or pinion gearhub) are all way to expensive for me.
I stumbled across this hungarian bike brand called booda bikes which makes a belt driven gravel bike with a steel frame:
it seems like a fair deal, only concern is that it uses a shimano alfine 11 speed gearhub which I’ve heard mixed opinions and reviews about.
So my question is: Can anyone recommend (or not recommend) the booda bike hiker? Does anyone have experiences with shimano alfine 11 gearhubs? are they any good?
