Wondering if this is a good deal or right for me. I have a hybrid commuter giant escape 3 medium. I’m 5’8″ 165lbs. I’m a fair weather cyclist who uses it mostly for fun/ excersize in short trips <20miles per ride. I’m just looking for something fun that might take me to more areas around the PNW. I initially had a budget of around 500-800 and have looked at the poseidon bikes on sale right now but I just can’t pull the trigger and am thinking of something like this that may be a bit funner being a cyclocross as I was torn between getting a new road bike or gravel style. I figure at this price I can get something and use it for a year or two to see what direction I want, then maybe sell it for something better? Honestly would do something like 90/10 road to gravel. Is this a terrible way to approach getting a bike?
