Join me as, on 12th November 2025, I cycle my electric bike to Brean, south of Weston-Super-Mare. On route I pass The Boathouse Cafe by Uphill Marina following the National Cycle Network 33 and the Uphill Hill Local Nature Reserve. I cycle past Diamond Farm Holiday Park before entering Brean where I pass Cafe 33. Whilst in Brean I discover Brean Country Club with a lovely restaurant called The View Kitchen and Bar. Due to bad weather I turn around and head for lunch at the Quick Bite Cafe before heading for home before the rain sets in. On my return I pass the Brean Cross Sluice where my action camera battery fails on me.
As a 58 year old retired cycle fan I want to encourage more senior people to get on their bike, any bike and explore the outside world. I talk about my low budget cycle equipment showing how you don’t need to spend much to have a great time.
The emphasis of this video is also to make the most of the time we have, you will often hear me say “Everyday is a gift” and “Living the dream”.
