Day 1: My 2026 Germany Bikepacking Adventure Begins | Nuremberg to Kelheim
Day 1 of my 32-day bikepacking adventure through Germany! 🚲🇩🇪
Today I begin my 2026 Germany bikepacking tour, riding from near Nuremberg towards Kelheim along the Main-Danube Canal.
In this introduction to the tour, I stop near one of the canal’s impressive lock systems and take a look at the route ahead.
This is the beginning of another big cycling adventure through Germany, following some of the country’s beautiful rivers and waterways.
