French police used teargas and water cannons to break up a banned rally in support of the Palestinian people in Paris on Thursday, as President Emmanuel Macron urged the French to remain united and refrain from bringing the Israel-Hamas conflict home.

Macron’s interior minister Gerald Darmanin had banned the protests earlier, citing fears of “disturbances to public order.” Two pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Paris had already been banned on Thursday for fear of outbursts when Darmanin told prefects to ban all pro-Palestinian demonstrations across the country.

Despite the ban, several hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in central Paris in separate groups that police forces sought to keep from merging.

“This is a great injustice,” protester Salma said. “I feel anger and I don’t understand, above all. Especially since today, I’m wearing a keffiyeh (Palestinian traditional scarf) and a riot police officer told me ‘It will cost you 135 euros if you don’t remove it.’ Well, I agree to pay 135 euros. If freedom is worth 135 euros today, well I’ll pay them.”

  1. Why don't these protesters protest in Gaza to Free Palestine from HAMAS? Go back to your home country and be brave enough to fight against Hamas if you want a country. Fight for your own land if you want a home. Don't be such cowards and disturb the peace in our nations. Get out of Europe, get out of the USA, get out of Canada and take your country back if you want your piece of land.
    God Bless Israel.

  2. Always remember this pattern,

    1) Conflict is always between islam vs other religions
    2) Other islamic countries will not accept those affected muslims as their refugees, but they somehow sneak into non-islamic countries. (Russia, whole EU problem with refugees: France, Germany, Spain etc., India divided into 3+ countries, Iran was not an islamic state initially)

    3) once they are into non-islamic countries, they create separate laws and try to break that country too.

  3. If it were a week or a few days that they wanted to protest, that would be OK. Ay, but they're not doing that. It's been a month now, almost and they're turning violent. So yes, something has to be done.
