On Wednesday 12th August 2026 the UK experienced a partial solar eclipse with the peak of the eclipse happening around 19:11.
I finished work and had no real intention of watching the eclipse so I thought I would experience what it would be like to ride during the eclipse.
With it being extremely hot in the UK right now I decided to try and stick to quieter roads.
Part 1: We start the ride at Highfield Lane close to Bedworth in North Warwickshire and also close to Corley services on the M6.
Part 2: I’m on Broad Lane a mile or so west of Fillongley near to Stonehouse Farm, I head back east and towards Nuneaton.
This is the first video I’ve editing using DaVinci Resolve, which I hope is an improvement in quality.
