17 days. 1,400 km. 14 days on the bikes. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

We cycled from Romania πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ through Bulgaria πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬ to Greece πŸ‡¬πŸ‡·, all the way to the beautiful island of Samothraki β€” and then back home.

Two bikes, two huge 50L backpacks, panniers, endless roads, mountain villages, rain, ferry rides, beaches, cherries picked straight from the trees πŸ’ and plenty of unexpected adventures.

At one point, the rain caught us and we stopped inside a tunnel to change clothes… only to be spotted by the tunnel monitoring operator! πŸ˜‚ A few kilometers later, we were stopped and reminded that camping/changing clothes in a tunnel is, apparently, not allowed. πŸ˜…

We loved Bulgaria, the mountain villages, the people, the quiet roads and all those beautiful places that felt completely off the map.

And then came Samothraki. πŸŒŠβ›°οΈ
We took the ferry to the island, went hiking up Mount Fengari, and even had a little dog follow us almost all the way to the summit. πŸ•β€οΈ

Supermarkets, occasional pizza and beer stops, thousands of pedal strokes, tired legs, beautiful landscapes and a ridiculous amount of cherries. πŸ’

This was just the beginning of our 1,400 km cycling adventure. ❀️
