A beautiful day, a brutal climb, and an unforgettable memory with my daughter.
This year, we took on the legendary Montée du Nid d’Aigle in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc — one of the most iconic uphill trail races in the Alps, starting from Le Fayet and climbing all the way to the Nid d’Aigle / Bellevue area. With about 19.5 km and 2000 m of ascent, this race is as demanding as it is spectacular.
Sharing this adventure with my daughter made the experience even more special. From the first steps in the valley to the final push above the tree line, every moment was about effort, grit, mountain beauty, and the joy of doing it together. The views, the atmosphere, and the feeling of reaching the finish make this race truly unique.
The Montée du Nid d’Aigle is a historic race in Saint-Gervais, known for its original route, its strong mountain spirit, and its finish at the gateway to the Mont-Blanc ascent. This video captures our day on the trail — the pain, the smiles, the scenery, and the proud finish.
