Hi, I inherited this Peugeot women's bike from my mother. I used to ride on the back of it when we lived in Brussels, in 1973-1975. At the end of '75, we moved back to the States, with numerous items including this bike. Unfortunately, the matching men's bike was ridden regularly by me and was junked long ago.

This women's bike was almost never ridden! It just hung from the ceiling in the garage for almost 50 yrs. Then she gave it to me and I brought it to my home.

Amazingly, the tires still hold air, although only for a few days. Treads are original. The three speed shifter works, although sticks sometimes. Brake cables and pads original (yes, they should be replaced). It still has tools in the little side compartments on the back wheel.

What should I do with this? It's really comfortable to ride upright, but clearly, to be safe, the brakes need replacement. It's heavy, tho.
