Tadej Pogačar delivered another dominant performance at the 2026 Tour de France, winning Stage 19 with a record-breaking ascent of the legendary Alpe d’Huez.
The UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider launched a decisive attack on the final climb, reeled in the leading breakaway and surged past Richard Carapaz before crossing the finish line with his arms raised in celebration. Lenny Martinez finished second, while Carapaz completed the podium.
The victory further strengthened Pogačar’s grip on the yellow jersey ahead of the final mountain stage. After the race, Pogačar said the team would continue to follow its own strategy and “stick together” heading into Stage 20.
