Not sure the exact year. I think sometime after 1985 they switched to the unicrown fork.
Saw this chilling on FB marketplace for awhile and finally decided to grab it. I was looking for the older fork style but they're pretty rare. It was basement kept for years and years. The only bit of rust was on the bottle cage bolts. Super dusty, had spider webs and bugs on it. Cleaned up nice. The only scrapes are on the rear chainstay that I can find which is amazing.
I decided I wanted it to be a beach cruiser for now (I live on Lake Erie so it feels fitting idk). I have pads coming. Other than the Fat Frank tires, saddle and grips, I kept it stock. The bars are super wide. I wasn't sure at first but they quickly grew on me. Could use a basket. Different pedals but not sure. I saw some with wood accents and thought maybe I make my own. I have a variety of wood type of can use.
I really liked the range of the crankset. Also the fact that it has both fender and rack eyelets front and rear. Comfy little cruiser.
