The end of a tour is always a time of mixed emotion. I could ride on forever but I am also missing home and the joy of being with my wife. I hate the packing required to get my bike ready for the plane. Leaving Lyon was complicated by the heat that has been causing train delays and cancellations across France. It was compounded by forest fires near Paris. I was happy that my train departed Lyon and delivered me to Paris only 4 hours later than schedule. Next stop Honolulu and then I can start dreaming about my next ride.
