Thought I would share a few pictures from The Range Gravel Race in Claresholm, Alberta from this past weekend. I did the Classic Distance (122km) in pretty much bang on six hours for a solid mid-pack finish. Rode on my 2024 Specialized Diverge with 45mm Pirelli Cinturato Gravel tires (tubeless).
I'm a long time triathlete and this was my first gravel race. It was great experience. Very well run event with an awesome turnout and pretty nice weather albeit rather breezy on the ride back to town, thankfully it was mostly at our backs!
Very scenic course, mostly on hard pack gravel roads. There are a few sections on private ranch roads which are a bit rougher, but still in pretty good shape. The only creek crossing had a temporary bridge installed for us.
