After an enjoyable embarkation day, we arrive at our first ports of call, beginning in Toulon, France, before heading into the countryside on Virgin Voyages’ Bike & Wine Tour. Was it worth booking, or would I recommend doing something else instead?
Back onboard, it’s time to celebrate Matt’s birthday with dinner at The Wake, one of Virgin Voyages’ most talked-about restaurants, before waking up in Italy for what became one of the highlights of the entire cruise.
From exploring the breathtaking streets of Florence, visiting the magnificent Duomo, wandering across the Ponte Vecchio, enjoying one of the best lunches of the week (with an unexpected Hollywood celebrity making an appearance!), to another fantastic evening onboard at Pink Agave, this episode is packed with some of our favourite moments so far.
I also share one honest opinion about Valiant Lady’s promenade deck that surprised me as a first-time Virgin Voyages sailor.
