Dr. Edward Reichman, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Philosophy and History of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University leads a seminar about “the interfaces of medical history and Jewish law.” This event is part of the Everett Institutes seminar series, endowed by Edith and Henry Everett. Dr. Reichman organizes his lecture into three sections based on the past, present, and future of medicine. He specifically discusses ethical issues related to historical medical developments, organ donation, and genetics, particularly stem-cell research. The seminar includes questions and participation from the audience.
