I’m in the Twin Cities (MSP), looking for someone who’d at least consider rebuilding my childhood 3-speed (for themselves or to sell). Any thoughts on how to find someone locally and/or whether there’s likely to be any interest?
I tried two bike shops: One commercial shop, asking whether any of the mechanics might be interested (no response) and a nonprofit (which would use some of the parts and recycle the frame).
I have what I believe to be all the parts (inexplicably one of the pedals is missing). Some rust and wheels probably should be replaced.
Seems like it might be gold to someone who liked English bikes, but maybe this is just my sentimentality talking and I should give it to the nonprofit for salvage! (It was my second bike, before I got my Raleigh 10-speed, which I rode until about 5 years ago.)
