  1. There isn't really any benefit to the Emonda on the tour, the UCI weight limit means any of the frames shown can be as light as allowed.

  2. This seems to be more about the riders bikes than actual amazing climbing bikes like the yes all you Americans Emonda but that new Bianchi Specialisima ! Mama Mia !

  3. I love these comments when people start chipping in with their favourites that are missing from the list (which I am guilty of doing previously), but seeing my S-Works Tarmac 15 up there is a delight. Personally, I think any current top level and UCI weight limit worrying bike would be as good as any other – the engine driving it up the mountains is the important part!  Put Froome on any of his GC contender bikes and the outcome is the same. Ditto with sprinters! All these carbon hyper-bikes are awesome!

  4. SLR01 is a great climbing bike, F8 is a bit stiff and tends to leave me feeling a bit strained.. hard to explain

Ive got a couple of the current pro team bikes, SLR01=great for climbing.. F8 is much better for descending (personal preference maybe), Scott is a great mix
