After arriving in La Rochelle at the end of La Vélo Francette we decided to tag on a quick exploration of nearby Île de Ré. We did a short loop taking in the villages of La Flotte and Sainte-Marie-de-Ré with their characteristic whitewashed houses and narrow winding streets.
