This is a scenic cycling journey along the famous Vennbahn. This incredible route follows an old railway line, taking me all the way from Aachen in Germany, down into the heart of the German speaking community of East Belgium in Sankt Vith.
Over the course of the journey, I covered 58 miles with an elevation gain of 1,955 feet. I couldn’t resist a well-deserved break at the beautiful old station in Monschau, where I treated myself to some delicious apple cake, ice cream, and refreshing drinks before pushing on to the finish.
