Day 4 of 8 cycling on the #WildAtlanticWay and the Beara Peninsula definitely kept us on our toes!

We left Bantry under blue skies but after a day of changing weather conditions, we took a more direct route arriving in Eyeries earlier than expected. But honestly it worked out perfectly.

Perched above Coulagh Bay with the Kerry Mountains in the distance, Eyeries is one of the most colourful villages in Ireland and easily one of the prettiest places we’ve stopped so far.

We wrapped up the day at Causkey’s Bar, drink in hand, looking out over the water. One of those evenings where the conversation keeps getting interrupted because the view is just that good.

Sometimes the unexpected detours really are the best part of the trip.
