Hey everyone,

I’m servicing the main pivot on my Canyon full-suspension bike. The pivot axle itself is working perfectly fine and moves smoothly, but the integrated, factory-bonded triangular aluminum mounting plate inside the carbon frame (where the pivot cap screws into) has completely broken free from its bonding.

When I press it with an Allen key, this entire metal insert noticeably wobbles left and right inside the carbon structure and makes a knocking sound.

Canyon support says the frame is out of warranty and they have no replacement parts left.

Has anyone dealt with this specific issue? Is this repairable by a carbon repair specialist (like re-bonding the metal insert back into the frame), or is the frame completely toast?

Thanks for any help!
