Just finished our first bikepacking trip with our 5 yo. It was hard but beautiful. Rode part of the divide trail from Island Park to Jackson. Packed way too much, but we camped comfortably!
Lessons learned,
– Upgrade grips and saddle
– Need to figure out how to pack more over center and rear of bike with the trailer attached.
– Always stop and swim!
– Cards, Dice, and audio books for the kid helped us survive.
– Dr. Pepper can boost you through the last hour of the day!
