Beyond the Croisette | Nomad: The World Is My Beat | Season 6
Liza Foreman is a Cannes veteran. As a film festival journalist she finds herself in this fabled French seaside town three or four times a year, covering everything from the Cannes Film Festival to the TV market and beyond. But this time she decided to do something different.
Instead of following the crowds who fly in and flying out, Liza strapped on a helmet, hired a bike, and explored the south coast of France — spending a few nights in Nice, sunbathing at the Villa Franche-sur-Mer, getting caught in a rainstorm somewhere between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, and discovering that bike paths run all the way along the Côte d’Azur.
From wandering around in a bikini to pulling a puffer coat out of her bag within the same afternoon — this is travel as it should be. Connected to the landscape, connected to the locals, and open to whatever the weather throws at you.
This episode is an invitation to all of us to ask a simple question: if we’re going somewhere for work, why not actually see it? And if we’re going somewhere at all — should we really be flying in, ticking a box, and flying straight back out?
Explore. Connect. Slow down. The Croisette is just the beginning.
