Somebody posted Marketplace photos of this bike last week looking for information about it. I found the information and I bought the bike. It has always been my dream to own a full chrome bike with fancy lugs in my size and now it's happened. Unfortunately the non-original wheels aren't in great shape. The steel parts of the derailleurs are rusted and the bottom bracket sounds crunchy. I want to get some 700C wheels which will also require long reach brakes, and a new indexed drive train, bottom bracket, etc. I'm probably going to go with flat bars. I can do the work but I'm not up on all the standards and what fits what. Can someone just tell me what to buy? I'm looking for budget-friendly but not trash.
