Completed my first water bikepacking trip! I loaded up my water bike with gear and pedaled out from the Saugatuck River into Long Island Sound for a solo overnight on Cockenoe Island off the Connecticut coast in Westport. I also visited Goose Island, Grassy Island, Chimon Island, Calf Pasture Island, and Sprite Island in Norwalk.
Highlights included passing Peck Ledge Lighthouse, island hopping, abundant birds/wildlife, an awesome campsite, and waking up to a beautiful sunrise. This was a successful first run, and I have more trips planned around New England this summer
