Just got this bike in exchange for helping empty out an old storage space full of bikes 😄 I liked the look of it and the stainless steel handlebars.
I have a bicycle in a similar color and wanted to use these handlebars and some other things as a donor, but I decided to ask for advice here before I did anything.
I was thinking about taking apart the rear wheel and jamming my Shimano in (don't know if it's possible), because I don't understand this gear shift mechanism, is it even intact? If yes, what is it called and if possible, is it worth putting the Shimano in?
Also, should I remove the paint and try to re-paint It? It isn't shiny like I would expect it to be.
I think it's even in a good enough state to ride. I'll buy tires in the upcoming days and see, wish me luck 🤞🏻
