If original price was $9000 CAD. Yes.
Definitely a nice ride, not sure exactly what a used build like that should reasonably fetch but that seems like it’s in the ballpark.
As far as being a good first bike… IMO you can spend half that amount or less and get 80% of the bike buying something that’s alu, a couple years older, or wasn’t as high-specced to begin with.
I’m no dentist but $3500 seems like a hefty investment as a first bike.
