The “Vhélio Trophée” cycle run is seen passing through Polegate.
On Friday 15 May, East Sussex was visited by the “Vhélio Trophée 2026” – a solar‑powered cycle event starting in France and travelling through our county to Battle.
After a well earned rest on the ferry from France, participants travelled from Newhaven, through Seaford seafront, Exeat Bridge, Polegate High Street, Hankham Hall Road, Rattle Road, Boreham Street, the A271 and around Battle Abbey Green.
