Epic ride from Stratford, along the Greenway, through East London to Dagenham and Rainham, then along the spectacular Thames Estuary Path to Purfleet and on to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Having inadvertently ridden past what we now know to be the correct cycle pick-up point, we cut through the Lakeside shopping area and ride along the Bridge’s approach road. Then, once directed to the proper pick-up spot, we were efficiently transported across The Bridge and began our trip back into Central London along the Thames Path. After a little foray up and back down the River Darent, we rode along the Thames through Erith, Woolwich and Greenwich. One of the best rides I’ve ever done.
