I'm new to bikepacking, so far did a small 1 night trip but want to go farther as time goes on.
Right now I want to improve my bike accessories because last time I basically carried everything on my backpack (terrible mistake).
I bought this Raleigh bike rack bag which has expandable pouches on the sides, but my rear rack does not have side guards to protect or secure it in place. Because my bike is dual suspension, I can't really use the common ones on amazon (like these) otherwise i fear the supports might bend.
Should I buy a different rear bike rack or upgrade this one I have?
I have a 3D printer and I can print some guards that clip on the sides of the rack.
Yes I am aware that this bike is not the best choice but im just a beginner and will definetly get better one in the future. I just need a temporary solution while the weather is nice.
Bike: Supercycle Rush Dual Suspension Mountain Bike, 21-Speed, 29-in
Rear rack and bag: Raleigh
Sorry if I missed a detail or context, im new here.
