I decided to give it a go $500 was worth the risk of shit. This is a mechanic sub so I’ll use technical terms.

I am impressed.

Install was smooth. I used their nut, olive, and barb and it plugged into my cut existing shimano hose easily. Didn’t need to bleed after hooking it up. Bite is very crisp. The levers feel a lot smaller than my r8000 levers in a good way.

I was surprised by the lack of buttons on the derailleurs. You have to charge the derailleurs and when you disconnect the charger it enters pairing mode. I was pleasantly surprised when I connected to the rear derailleur, and it connected to all 4 components at the same time. Nice.

The rear derailleur has the 3 screws you’d expect. Tell the app how many gears you have before touching the limits. I had a close call.

The front derailleur has only 1 screw. It is weird because instead of setting the low limit screw in low low, the app calls the big ring 1st gear, and asks you to go to big ring big cog and adjust the trim to not touch. That’s to set the auto trim. The single adjust ment screw works similar to the high limit screw on high end mechanical Shimano but in this case I used it for both high and low limit control.

Since it’s not setup designated 12 speed 11 speed 10 speed or whatever you have to index it for each cog. The numerical values it assigns to its set spot on the cassette per gear is less than useful. I never adjusted by less than 5 points and mostly adjusted by changing 10-50 points at a time. Then you confirm your adjustment and you shift out then back to that gear to see the change.
Silly but I go the hang of it pretty quick.

Outside it shifts very well. I heard many reports of people’s wheel tops shifting differently out of the stand and mine was good on both.

First impression: for $500 and
$0 labor

:)…

I’m pretty happy so far

Any questions holler 👍
