Curious if anyone has expertise on this bike and whether those are original decals or it’s been painted and those are not original factory.

I’m not certain if it came in this original color and then I got some image ai suggestion the decals were off. Seller hasn’t included images of the underneath of the bottom bracket in the post.

“The close-up of the downtube (image_1.png) shows the main problem. These decals are almost certainly modern replacements, and they have been applied incorrectly.

• The Logo Overlay: Look closely at the "M" in MASI in image_1.png. It has the smaller script text ("Gran Criterium") printed right over the top of the main logo. Masi never did this in production. The original decal would have the script text running underneath or above the main block letters.

• The "Grand" vs. "Gran" Debate: A classic Masi always says Gran Criterium (no 'D'). While these decals say "Gran," the original question we had was about why they looked different than the classic script. They look like a "generic" modern replacement set rather than the period-correct decals that frame would have originally worn.

• Decal Quality: The edges of the decals look slightly modern and crisp. The original thin-film decals on a bike from this era would have integrated more with the paint over time.
