    Police shoot man accused of plotting ‘hitman-style’ attack



    Police officers shot a man three times after he pointed a handgun at them while they searched a house in Somerset for weapons.

    Bodycam footage showed the moment the police officers shot Reed Wischhusen, 32, accused of plotting a mass shooting.

      Police incompetence at its best, armed police go there on suspicion he has weapons or the means to make them and he gets to wonder around the house by himself

      Police got intellegence that he had ammunition and weapons in his house and they politely knocked on his door and let him wonder around the house? If he was black/brown they would've booted in the door, tased him, cuffed him before searching for the gun. Or at least, knock on the door with guns and tell him to come outside hands in the air, cuff him before going into the house. Even when they shot him it weren't a headshot – lol. This is white priviage at work.

      They made lots of poor decisions.
      Surly they should have handcuffed him first.. then searched him, and his house … if they knew fire arms were involved why did they let him go back upstairs….
      They asked him to put the gun down once and shot him, then asked again after… he didn’t get a chance to… hard to see around the corner though….
      Our police seem to be getting trigger happy lately…

      I saw a lack of control over the situation.that armed officer should have shadowed him into that suspiciously locked room,preventing the suspect having ample time to arm and discharge weaponry.control over suspect

      I've seen them use these tactics before. It's pretty dishonest in my opinion.

      I'm glad the officers are okay though.

      This just highlights the difference between American cops and British police.
      British police: Shoot him, remove the threat, immediately give first aid.
      American police: Shoot him 20x times, handcuff him, watch him die, call medics, have a beer and laugh about it all.

      This is how all policing needs to carried out in the UK now. The streets have become lawless with the tens of thousands of illegal imports arriving daily by the boatload and a militia approach is the only way.
      The snowflakes and tree huggers have had enough chances and it just doesnt work.
      The batons, water cannon and firearms now
      need deploying heavily .
      Play stupid games expect to get your brains blown out as prizes..

      They should show this in police training, 'How Not To Arrest A Man Who Has Firearms'.
      What a disaster, they make the English police force look like incompetent fools.

      Really, really embarrassed for the officers.. they look so inept! All of that could have been avoided if they took the allegations seriously and secured him from the outset!
