I bought the frame just before Christmas and built the bike up over the winter. Finally the weather is nice enough to take it out for a spin and get some pics. Rides like a dream and keeps you hungry for more.

It's a 62 cm 1985* Eddy Merckx "Corsa" in Columbus SL handmade in Belgium.

*Z5xxx serial number, so I'm assuming '85 or late '84 since there where only 9999 frames per letter and A is 1986.

It's a bit of "parts-bin" build. I had the Shimano 600 front and rear derailleurs and the crankset left over from my '85 Giant Tourer build. So, I continued the trend with 600 headset, brakes and seat post.

While searching for bits on eBay with an EM pantograph I stumbled upon the Silva bar tape – though it's got the early 90s logo – which I just had to have.
