I'm meant to be setting off on a 2 week trip on my cube bike (2026 stereo hybrid HPC race) tomorrow and I've fitted an old man mountain divide rack to it. However I just happened to find a table (I'll link at the bottom) on cubes website and it says that all carbon bikes aren't rated for a rack. On the product page for my bike they have their own rack listed under accessories so surely the bike should be rated for one?
The other stereo hyrbids are rated for 25kg and since mine has the same aluminium rear triangle shouldnt it be able to carry as much?
Worried about damaging the bike if I go but I have no other options for the trip. Any help would be really appreciated.
