This guy will sell his 2021 Trek Domane 5 for $1000. It’s fishy because it hasn’t sold in over 9 months. Is there anything wrong with it?

This next guy listed his bike last night. I believe it’s a 2018 Emonda. My philosophy with used purchases is to buy as new of an item as possible. This bike has clearly seen a good deal of use. It seems he’s made some upgrades which also has me a little unnerved. I generally stay away from modifications. Most people don’t know how to make a bike better than the professionals

Extra context: this will be my second road bike. I’m upgrading from a 2021 entry level domane. It shifts terribly and going from 8 gears to 11 will have a huge impact on my times.
I’d rather go domane than Emonda since I’d rather be comfortable than fast. I ride on the streets of Tempe Arizona. It’s flat.
