(F, 32, relatively experienced cyclist.) I've finally decided that it's time to upgrade to a carbon road bike. I feel like out of the easily available bikes, Specialized Roubaix would be the best. I'm currently looking into Specialized Roubaix SL8 Comp Di2 and Specialized Roubaix SL8 Expert (which costs almost 2000 € more than the SL8 Comp Di2, so I'm wondering if it's that much better).

I intend to ride long rides on the bike on road, and I want the bike to be comfortable even when being on it the whole day. The big issue with roads around here is that the winters damage the roads, and they usually look something like this or this, so while I obviously want a fast bike, I need a bike that is also stable on less than perfect tarmac. The terrain is rather flat, so I don't necessarily need the best climber.

I'm also open to other brand/model suggestions, although many brands are rather difficult to get here, and I'm not too excited about the idea of ordering them abroad.

Thank you in advance!
