Hey all, I recently bought a vintage keirin track bike frame which I am building up as a fixed gear, which is my first time building a bike.

I bought this track bike wheelset from state bicycle which is 100mm front and 120mm back. It was my understanding this was standard for all track bikes. Upon arrival, I have found 2 things: 1) the axles on both the front and rear wheels are too thick in diameter, they don’t fit in the drops and 2) the rear axel is too long by a few mm and doesn’t fit.

Wondering what my options are here to remedy, and if anyone has advice. I heard filing down the drops may help, but that only solves one of my issues, and my front drops don’t look like that have a ton of material to lose so feels sketchy. Thanks for the help!
