I recently posted about how one would “upgrade” from the mechanical Shimano 2×11 to a wireless setup like the 2026 FX Sport SL 6. After some researching it was finally done – this was a birthday gift for myself, just a want and not a need.
I’m loving it so far but might go to a 44T chainring.
For anyone who might be interested to upgrade an older fx sport 6 to something similar to the current sl 6 here is the setup:
SRAM Rival XPLR derailleur D1 ( so no need for an UDH )
SRAM Rival PG-1231 11-44 Cassette (compatible with stock Shimano HG free hub)
AXS pod controller upgraded with the rocker paddle
SRAM Rival crankset (42 T) and a DUB BB and new chain
