I live in Korea and went bike shopping yesterday at local stores looking to replace my 2017 Giant TCR. I picked it up for about $1000 back in the day, and it needs replacing. I was planning on dropping between $2500-$4000 on a new bike at a local shop so I could have fresh stuff and maintenace.

I forgot to check my local Giant shop, and I went today to see what was there. Sadly it is closing. i really like the guy who works there, so I asked him what he was selling.

He showed me this bike. I offered to buy it, but after a test ride, I kinda waffled because the chain dropped.

So the pros are this bike is cheap and an immediate upgrade, and I'm doing my bike maintenence guy av favor.

Cons are that it's older, the parts are worn a bit, and maintenence will be harder if the shop is closing and my guy is gone.

Is this a good deal? If it is, should I stick with a new bike anyway? I can afford a new bike, I just
