I'm preparing to ride a section of GDMBR this summer so I want to have the route files on my head unit. Just bought the digital adventure cycling route files but I am having trouble to get the POIs to show on my Garmin Edge 1040.
What I did:

Downloaded the GPX route files from RWGPS

manually placed them onto my garmin in the NewFiles folder, either the whole section files or smaller splits of the file made with https://gpx.studio/
Results:

routes were successfully shown on my Garmin

some POI were visible, but a lot were also missing. This seemed unrelated to their position relative to the GPX track or the specific section. It happened the same way regardless of using the whole section files or smaller splits (though different POI were lost).
Would really appreciate any advice to understand why random POI seem to go missing and how to fix this.
