In August 2025, in the space of one week, three people on bikes were hit by drivers in Edinburgh. These were just the incidents serious enough to make the news. Cycling is safe in itself, the danger comes from poor infrastructure and poor car design. This ride was a shout from the people of Edinburgh to say “how many more people?” before we see cycling respected and given the space it needs in the city.
